I finally tried subbed over dubbed for a full season and it flipped my whole watch list
I used to always watch dubbed because I could knit while listening, but last month I did a full 24 episode run subbed on my phone. The voice acting actually matched the mouth flaps and I caught jokes that got lost in translation, so now I'm going back through my favorites. Anyone else switch and find certain genres like comedy or drama work way better one way?

Hold on, let me play the other side for real. Dubbed is still the way to go for me because I can actually enjoy the show without staring at the screen. I rewatched a whole comedy series dubbed and the timing hit harder because I could focus on the jokes instead of reading. Plus, a ton of dubs nail the energy better than the original, especially with over-the-top action shows. Subbed might fix translation issues but it kills the vibe when you have to pause to catch a subtitle while a fight scene is blowing up. Honestly, I'd take a decent dub over a perfect sub any day.
