Just hit 100 anime reviews on my blog
Started it just for fun last year, never thought anyone would read it. Seeing that number felt pretty cool. Anyone else have a small goal they hit that surprised them?

Honestly used to think reviewing anime was just about rating popular shows. Then I tried covering some truly bizarre stuff like @morganmartinez mentioned, and it totally changed how I see the whole hobby. What's the most out-there plot you've ever tried to explain to someone?

What's the weirdest show you've had to review?

You mentioned "it was just too bizarre to even describe" and honestly, I'm always a little skeptical of that take. Like, sure, some shows are weird for the sake of being weird (looking at you, random food-based anime), but is it really that hard to describe? I feel like people overhype the "too bizarre to explain" thing when really it's just a loop of weird for weird's sake. Unless it's actively offensive or incomprehensible on purpose, you can usually boil it down to a simple premise. Weirdness alone doesn't make something deep or meaningful, you know? I'd rather someone just say "it's about a kid who fights ghosts with a toaster oven" than pretend it's some unspeakable cosmic horror.

Congrats on the milestone. That weird show question reminds me of a friend who tried to review a cartoon about sentient office supplies. He gave up after three episodes because it was just too bizarre to even describe.
