My friend swore 720p was fine, 4K bluray changed my whole watch order
My buddy Dave kept saying streaming in 720p was good enough and I was wasting money on discs. Last month I finally grabbed a 4K copy of Akira and watched it on my 55 inch TV. The difference was insane, I could see actual texture in the animation that just looked like blurry lines before. Now I'm going back through old series and picking up the better releases. Has anyone else had a friend talk them out of upgrading video quality for years?

It's funny how people settle for stuff that's "fine" until they see what they're missing, and then there's no going back. Same thing happened to me with coffee, I drank instant for years until someone forced me to try real beans and now I can't touch the powdered stuff. Once you notice the difference, it's hard to pretend you didn't, right?
