Shoutout to the guy who corrected my subbed vs dubbed take at a con panel

At Anime Expo last July, this stranger behind me heard me tell my friend that dubs ruin emotional scenes and leaned in saying 'watch episode 12 of Fruits Basket 2019 dubbed, then talk.' That one comment sent me down a 2 week binge comparing both versions, and honestly I owe that guy a soda for opening my eyes. Anyone else had a random fan completely flip their stance mid-conversation?
