The 3 episode rule felt like gatekeeping until Sakura Trick broke me
I always rolled my eyes at people saying you need to watch 3 episodes before judging a show. Thought it was just a way to force yourself through boring pacing. Then last month I tried Sakura Trick on a whim because a friend kept pushing it, gave up after episode 1 because it seemed too silly. Friend made me stick through episode 3 and the character dynamic just clicked, suddenly the comedy landed and I binged the rest in 2 nights. So which side are you on, do you trust your first impression or give shows that 3 episode window? Has anything flipped your initial take like that?

Ha, totally felt that! Steins;Gate did the same to me, nearly quit after two episodes then it became my all-time favorite.
