Took me 6 hours to figure out why an old anime disc kept skipping on one scene
Kept wiping the disc and trying different players in my apartment in Reno before I noticed a hairline scratch right at the 14 minute mark. Anyone got a trick that actually works on deep scratches, or is my copy of the movie just done for?
My buddy in Sparks had a copy of Akira that skipped for years, turned out his cat had been using the disc as a scratching post when he left it on the coffee table. A tiny scratch from a claw will mess a disc up way worse than dust ever does. Check if you got a pet or a kid that messes with your stuff before you blame the disc itself.
