Took me 6 years to realize I was skipping the OP every time for no reason

Was rewatching Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood with my buddy at his apartment in Austin and he got mad I skipped the intro. I told him it saves time but he pointed out I was missing the song shifts that hint at the episode tone. Now I let them play and honestly the pacing feels way better. Anyone else catch themselves skipping openings out of habit instead of giving them a chance?

Tbh your friend was right about the music shifts, I started noticing the same thing with Cowboy Bebop and it totally changed how I watch anime now.
