Unpopular opinion: DVD extras ruined my love for anime blooper reels

Met a guy at a con in Chicago last summer who said he only watches anime for the bloopers and outtakes. I told him those segmented VA interview clips from the 2003 FMA box set killed the magic for me. He got real defensive, said it was about seeing the voice actors crack up mid-line. But I still think hearing the raw mistakes over and over just makes the final cut feel less special. Anyone else skip the extras entirely and stick to the episodes only?
