Used to binge dub episodes without thinking until I caught a TPN Season 2 scene that made me cringe so hard I switched to subs overnight

I was cruising through The Promised Neverland dubbed like normal when Ray's emotional moment came out flat and then Emma's voice cracked in a completely wrong spot, so now I rewatch every episode subbed first to check the actual performance, has anyone else had a bad dub moment that totally flipped how you watch?

You ever rewatch a scene you thought was fine in dub and then see it in sub and realize you totally missed the actual emotion? The Promised Neverland dub had some rough spots for sure, especially when Emma's voice actor went for that high pitched frantic energy but missed the subtle fear underneath. What got me was watching the sub version of that scene where Emma breaks down after they escape and hearing the raw shaking in her voice that just wasn't there in the dub. Makes you wonder how many other shows you've been watching with the wrong tone because the localization team had one idea and the original had another.
