Just realized my shop's 'ghost' was a squirrel hoarding trim clips
For three months we kept finding random plastic clips in weird spots, until I saw a fat squirrel dart out of the rafters with one in its mouth. Anyone else had a critter turn their shop into a weird parts warehouse?

Honestly that sounds like a pretty minor problem. It's just a squirrel moving some plastic bits around, not like it's chewing through wiring or building a nest in your toolbox. At least now you know where your missing clips went. I'd take that over finding a mouse nest in the engine bay any day.

Wait, have you seen what squirrels can do to wiring, @colethomas? In my experience, those plastic bits are just the start. They'll absolutely go for the wires next if they're feeling bored.

You think a mouse nest is worse than wiring damage? A squirrel can wreck your whole electrical system in an afternoon, but a nest just makes a mess.
