Mixing spot putty by eye used to be a gamble, now I weigh everything
Back in 2008 at a shop near Phoenix I would eyeball the hardener and hope it cured before lunch, got burned on a soft spot more than once. Last month I started using a cheap digital scale that reads in grams, costs about 25 bucks, and my pin holes are gone almost every first pass. Anyone else make the switch to weighing out filler and primer, or are you still trusting the old squeeze and pray method?

Read somewhere that old timers used postal scales for this exact thing.
