Noticed how many shops skip the corrosion warranty work now
Pulled a 2018 Silverado bed liner off last week and the cab corner was dust behind it. Dealer quoted the customer $1,800, but I looked it up and GM's corrosion coverage runs 5 years unlimited miles on that panel. Found that stat buried in the warranty booklet PDF. Anyone else seeing more of these slip past because owners just assume it's out of pocket?

Is it really that common or just a few bad cases getting attention? Dealers push back on warranty work all the time, but most owners I know would just go to a different shop if they dug in.
