Spray gun cup leaked all over my floor, found the o-ring was pinched on install
Last Tuesday, mid clearcoat on a Ford F-150 tailgate. Suddenly solvent smell hits me. Look down, activator running across the shop floor. Cup seal gave out. Cost me a repaint and 40 minutes of cleanup. Pulled the cup apart, the o-ring got pinched when I threaded it on. I been doing this for 6 years and never checked that on reassembly. Now I do a quick pressurize and tilt test before I spray anything. Anyone else had a cup seal fail on them mid job?
