Used a heat gun and a wet rag to pop a dent out of a plastic bumper, saved the customer $600
Had a 2019 Civic come in with a big old dent right in the rear bumper cover, customer was quoted $600 for a full replacement at the dealer. I remembered a guy on a forum saying you can heat the plastic up with a heat gun, then press it from behind while it's still warm and it mostly snaps back. Took about 15 minutes at maybe 200 degrees, used a wet rag on the outside so the paint didn't blister. It's not perfect but the customer was thrilled and we saved them a bunch of money. Anyone else got tricks for the plastic bumpers or is replacing still the safer route?
