Guys, I keep seeing techs skip the torque spec on aluminum oil pans.

Had a customer come in with a stripped drain plug after a quick-lube place did their oil change. Anyone else run into this a lot lately?

Ever notice how people skip basic steps everywhere now? It's like reading the instructions became optional, from furniture to oil pans. We're all paying for that lack of patience in the end.

Basic steps are basic for a reason.

Stripped drain plug" is way too common. My buddy's truck got the same treatment from a chain shop last month. They just cranked it down with an impact and called it a day.
