Had a week where every car needed the same weird sensor
From Monday to Friday, we had five different cars come in with a bad camshaft position sensor. Two were Fords, one was a Chevy, and the other two were older Toyotas. It was strange because they all had the same rough idle and stalling issue, but they were totally different models. Has anyone else seen a run of the same part failing across different makes lately?

Heard about my buddy's shop last month. They had four cars, all different, with a bad wheel speed sensor in the same week. Weird how that happens sometimes.

Our shop saw three bad fuel pumps last month, all different brands.

Three of our vans hit the same thing back in March. @susan81, if you haven't already, check the relay on the fuel pump circuit before you just swap pumps. Sometimes a weak relay will fry a brand new pump in a few days. We wasted two pumps on a Ford before we figured out the relay was dropping voltage under load.
