Showerthought: The difference in a 2005 Silverado after a proper fuel system clean
Had a truck come in last month running rough, with the owner saying it felt like it was dragging a boat. Did a full fuel system clean, new filter, and ran some good injector cleaner through it. Two weeks later he came back for an oil change and said the gas mileage went from 12 to almost 16 mpg on his commute. Makes you wonder how many 'old truck' problems are just gunked up systems, right?

Yeah, direct injection is a whole different game. Those carbon deposits on the intake valves are a real headache, and a fuel system clean won't even touch them.

Those direct injection carbon issues are brutal. Seen a few engines that needed walnut blasting just to run right again.
