Swapped to a 1/2 inch impact wrench for rusty bolts under a 2004 F-150 last weekend
After snapping three breaker bars on a stuck control arm bolt, I tried a $130 earthquake gun from harbor freight and it zipped that thing off in 2 seconds, has anyone else found a cheap impact that actually holds up to daily rust belt work?

Tbh that Earthquake gun is a beast for the money, I've used mine on rusty semi trucks for years.

Damn that thing really does earn its keep on the heavy stuff! I've had mine on a few rusty log truck frames and it just keeps hammering away no matter how crusty things get.

Those 1/2" Earthquake impacts really do punch above their weight. How bad were the rusty bolts on those semis compared to say a typical farm trailer or truck frame you've worked on? I've only used mine on a few old grain trucks my buddy lets me borrow like twice a year and it struggled with the leaf spring bolts but handled the frame nuts okay. Did you have to oil it more for the semi stuff or did it just keep hammering through? I'm curious if the higher torque rating actually holds up over time without losing power.
