I finally picked a new wire stripper for the shop and it's been a game changer
I was stuck between the Klein 11055 and the Ideal 45-616 for our main bench. Went with the Klein because the blade change looked easier for the new guys. After two weeks, we've cut prep time on 22-gauge shielded cable by almost half. Anyone else have a favorite stripper for small-gauge stuff?

I've had the opposite experience with that Klein model. The blade change is easy, but the adjustment wheel gets loose over time. It starts to slip on 22-gauge, which ruins the strip. I keep going back to my old Ideal for anything under 20-gauge.

Ever try the Southwire ones? Their adjustment lock feels way more solid for thin gauge work.

Oh that slipping on 22-gauge sounds so annoying! I'd be so mad if it messed up a strip. I get why you stick with the old reliable one.

Oh, have you had the same thing happen with the wheel getting loose over time? I swear mine started drifting mid-strip after about six months of regular use, it drove me crazy on thin wires. Totally agree about the old Ideal too, mine is beat up but it just works every time without that annoying slip.
