Pro tip: A lead tech in Phoenix told me to stop relying on my DMM for everything
I used to think my digital multimeter was the only tool I needed for diagnosing avionics faults. Then this old-timer watched me chase a ghost signal on a King KX 165 for 45 minutes and said 'put down the meter and grab the headset.' He had me listen for a specific hum in the audio panel that turned out to be a bad ground strap on the tray. I changed my whole approach after that - now I use my ears before my meter every time. Has anyone else had a senior tech call them out on a bad habit like this?

Best thing is to just laugh it off and hit em with a "good one" so they have nothing to work with.

Ha, pretty much @alicer53. Getting roasted through a headset is a whole new level of disrespect. It’s like they don’t even care enough to look you in the eye while they trash talk you. Honestly though, it just means your gameplay got under their skin so bad they had to mic up about it. At least you live rent free in their head now, right? Plus, headset roasts are always way funnier to replay later with your buddies.
