What exactly were you testing that made you think it was junk? The early ones I saw looked like cheap plastic toys. Did the guy have to sell you hard on it, or did he just hand it over and tell you to try?

Trusting new gear always feels like a gamble. I picture that guy looking real smug right about now. Classic case of the tech looking like a toy but actually doing the job. Bet you won't doubt the next shiny tool that comes along. Sometimes the simple looking stuff is the real game changer.
