Unpopular opinion: switching from paper squawk sheets to a tablet cut my sign-off time on a CRJ-200 in half
Six months ago our shop in Wichita still ran paper gripe sheets for every overnight check, and I hated the idea of going digital. Two of us gave the tablets a shot on the CRJ-200 fleet in March, and my average sign-off went from about 40 minutes to 20 because I stopped walking back to the desk to look up wire numbers in the manual. What surprised me was how much less I second-guess myself when the fault codes and AMM links are right there in my hand instead of a binder that's missing page 34. I'm not saying paper is dead, but I'm curious if anyone here has pushed back on going digital and what finally sold you on it, or what you still keep on paper.
