Walked through a Gulfstream 650 at the Signature hangar and changed my mind about glass cockpits

I've always been a steam gauge guy, thought all that digital stuff was just extra failure points. Last month I got to poke around a G650 at KOPF in Opa-locka, the one with the big Honeywell setup. The tech showed me how it flags a bad LRU before it even fails, plus the self-test cycle took like 2 minutes. Has anyone else had their opinion flipped after seeing one of these up close?

Nah, I mean it's cool tech and all, but I still don't trust a screen to tell me it's fine before it actually fails. That thing flagged a bad LRU? Great, until the day it doesn't. Give me my six pack any day.
