My grandma said her 60 year old sourdough starter was mostly hype, then I baked with it
She handed me a jar of her starter from 1965 and I figured it was just a nice story, but that loaf rose higher in 4 hours than anything my 2 year old starter ever managed, so now I want to know if anyone else has baked with a starter older than they are.
