Noticed a big difference after switching to glass loaf pans

I used to only bake with metal pans, but about 6 months ago I swapped to glass for my sandwich bread. The crust comes out way more even and the bottom doesn't burn like it used to. Has anyone else seen that change with their own baking?

Respectfully gotta disagree here. I tried glass pans for a few months and went back to metal. My bread always came out with a tough, rubbery crust in glass, not the crispy deep brown I want. The bottom did burn less but the sides never got any color at all, just pale and soft. I think glass holds heat too differently, it takes forever to get that nice spring and browning. Maybe it works for some recipes but for a classic sandwich loaf I'll take my old metal pan any day.

@rodriguez.mia Ugh same here, glass pans wrecked my crust too! Team metal all the way.

Honestly I've had way better luck with glass pans for even browning and no burnt bottoms.
