I was dead wrong about melatonin for years

Used to think melatonin was just placebo nonsense for people who wouldn't put their phone down before bed. Then I tore my rotator cuff last January and my sleep went completely off the rails for 3 months straight. My neighbor who runs a sleep clinic in Denver convinced me to try 0.3mg (not the 5mg garbage everyone buys) and my deep sleep actually went up by 40 minutes on my Oura ring. Anyone else find that the tiny doses work way better than the big ones?

Friend tried the 5mg stuff once and said it felt like a hangover the next day.

Was it a specific brand or just some generic stuff? Could be whatever they cut it with that caused the rough next day.

5mg is way too much for a first timer.
