Night shift nurse said my melatonin was making things worse, still not sure if I buy it
Ran into this older nurse in the break room at 3am last week. She saw me popping 10mg of melatonin and told me I was wrecking my sleep cycle, that I should be taking 0.3mg max from a specific brand she named. She pulled up studies on her phone showing high doses can actually keep you awake. I get the logic but 0.3mg feels like a joke, has anyone actually tried that low of a dose and noticed a difference?

10mg? Dude that's insane. No wonder you're having trouble. I take 300mcg (0.3mg) from that brand she mentioned and it works way better than the big doses I used to choke down. At 10mg I'd wake up groggy with a headache and feel wired an hour later, almost like a caffeine crash. At the tiny dose I actually fall asleep faster and stay asleep without that weird hungover feeling. Zero chance I believed it either until I tried it, but the science actually backs her up.

Not sure it's that serious, @adam_baker. 300mcg is such a tiny amount I'd wonder if it's even doing anything real or if it's just a placebo effect kicking in. Your mileage may vary, but I've tried similar microdosing stuff before and honestly couldn't tell the difference from my normal routine.
