Spent 5 hours fixing my sleep with magnesium, turns out I was taking it at the wrong time
I was taking 400mg of magnesium glycinate in the morning for 3 weeks and wondering why I was still wired at midnight. Moved it to 30 minutes before bed and I was out cold by 11pm on night 2, so does timing actually matter this much for everyone or did I just get lucky?
Out cold by 11pm on night 2" is the part I want to dig into. That fast of a change makes me wonder if it was really the magnesium or if your body was just so worn down from three weeks of bad sleep that it finally gave up. Here's my real question: did you change anything else at the same time, like cutting caffeine, turning off screens earlier, or going to bed at a set time? Because if you only moved the pill and nothing else, that is a strong case for timing. But if you also started winding down at 10:30 and stopped scrolling, then the magnesium might be getting credit it does not deserve. I ask because I did the same swap and it took me closer to a week to feel it, not two nights. What does your whole evening look like now, not just the pill?
