Three years of cheap blue light glasses finally showed me something I didn't expect

I bought a 5 pack of those $8 blue light glasses on Amazon back in 2021 just to try them out. Wore them maybe half the time when I was on the computer for work and gaming at night. Honestly thought it was placebo most of the time. But last week I realized I haven't had a single headache after staring at screens for 10 hours straight since maybe March of this year. Used to get those tension headaches behind my eyes like clockwork every evening. Can't say for sure it's the glasses but I'm too scared to stop wearing them now. Anyone else notice a slow shift like that after using something for a long time?

lol the "too scared to stop wearing them" hit me. I did the same thing with those cheap blue light glasses from Target like 2 years ago. Wore them for a few months thought they did nothing then stopped and got this weird pressure in my head after a week. Put them back on and it went away. Probably just my brain playing tricks on me but hey it works.

Bought some cheap pair at CVS and now I blame them every time I get a headache.

Bro you're really out here blaming CVS sunglasses for headaches? I get that cheap lenses can be iffy sometimes but I've worn gas station readers for years and the only headache I get is from staring at spreadsheets too long. Pro tip: take them off for 5 minutes and see if your head actually stops hurting. Nine times out of ten it's just dehydration or your phone brightness being maxed out. But hey if the placebo effect works for you and keeps the headache away, more power to you I guess.
