Had a gas forge blowout because I skipped a routine checkup
Thought I could just fire up my forge after 3 months of not using it, didn't check the regulator or hoses. Second heat, the flame started pulsing wild and I heard a pop. Took me 4 hours to figure out it was a tiny crack in the hose letting air in. Replaced the whole setup, cost me $80 and a wasted Saturday. Anyone else get lazy with maintenance and regret it later?
