Had to pick between a power hammer and a new anvil, went with the hammer

Tbh, I was saving up for a new 200 lb anvil from a shop near Austin, but then a beat up 50 lb power hammer showed up on Craigslist for $800. Ngl, I almost walked away because the motor sounded rough, but I took the gamble and fixed the bearings myself. It's been 3 weeks now and my forearm isn't screaming anymore after a full day of drawing out stock. Has anyone else gone the machine route over upgrading the anvil, and did you regret it later?

@shanec61 is right about that, the hammer saves your arm and your time in ways a bigger anvil just can't. Just watch the motor mounts on that old one, they tend to shake loose after a few months of hard use.

Heard a guy at the local blacksmith meetup say the same thing, that a hammer does more for your arm than a bigger anvil ever will. Been tempting me to look at used ones, but I'm still on my 150 lb anvil and it's fine for now.
