My $60 blender gave out on day 5, but the warranty route worked

Tbh I bought this cheap blender from a big box store in Austin to make smoothies before work. Day 5 it started smoking and the blade base just stopped spinning, no warning at all. I called the manufacturer and they asked for my receipt, I sent a photo, and they mailed a replacement in 8 days. Has anyone else gotten a decent outcome from a budget appliance warranty, or am I just lucky this one time?
