Shoutout to the IKEA in Frisco where the chair I got broke in 3 weeks

I got a desk chair at the IKEA in Frisco, Texas for about $89, and three weeks later the seat sank about 2 inches and wouldn't stay up anymore. I took it back and the guy in returns looked at it, laughed, and said a whole lot of these come back the same way. Did anyone here have luck fixing the gas cylinder on a cheap chair, or should I just take the store credit and run?
