The $15 thrift store blender outlasted my $120 name brand one
I bought a fancy blender back in 2019 and it died after eight smoothies, the motor just gave up mid-spin. My mom's old Oster from a garage sale in Dayton has been running since I was a kid, and I found that same model at a thrift store for fifteen bucks. I figured it was a fluke, so I used it every morning for three weeks straight with frozen fruit and ice. That thing still sounds like a lawnmower but it never skipped a beat, and I've now retired the expensive one to the back of the cabinet. It makes me wonder if we're paying for looks instead of longevity, you know? Anyone else have a junk-looking appliance that just won't quit?
