Took me 3 hours to figure out my new washing machine wasn't broken, just off balance
Bought a slightly used top loader off a guy on Facebook for $150 and after two loads it started banging so loud I thought the drum was shot. I pulled the whole thing apart, checked the springs, watched like 6 repair videos, and even called a buddy who does appliance work to ask about the bearing. Turned out one of the shipping bolts was still in the back and a heavy blanket had wadded up on one side, throwing the whole drum off. Pulled the bolt, spread the load, and it's been quiet for a month now. Anyone else almost toss a machine before checking the dumb stuff first?
