Got hooked on those 'satisfying' slime videos and now my algorithm is wrecked
Last Tuesday I clicked on one of those slime cutting compilations just to see what the hype was about. My feed got flooded with even weirder stuff like soap carving and kinetic sand ASMR. Now every time I open the app it's just people squishing things for 5 minutes straight. How do you guys clean out your recommended feed without having to start a whole new account lol.

Is there a way to game the system by binging something boring for a few minutes? Like if you watch a whole bunch of unboxing videos for stuff you don't care about, maybe the algorithm gets confused and resets itself a little? I tried going on a liking spree with music videos and it kind of worked for me, just took a few days of forcing myself to watch normal stuff. Also if you use the app on desktop, sometimes you can find a hidden setting to reset your watch history without nuking your whole account.

Clicked one "oddly satisfying" sand cutting reel. Big mistake. Next thing I know my feed is 80 percent people crushing things with hydraulic presses. I had to tap "not interested" on like fifty different slime videos before it gave up. Even then it still thinks I want to watch someone meticulously peel glue off their hands.

The algorithm is just doing its job, man. You clicked one satisfying video and it gave you more of the same thing. Big deal. Just scroll past the hydraulic press stuff and it will eventually get the hint. Social media apps are not that deep. Maybe you need to click on more things you actually like if you want a better feed.
