My sister swore I'd love those 12 second recipe videos, I made it 3 days before muting her
She sent me a link to one of those fast-cut cooking clips back in April and said I'd get hooked on the format, which I did for about 72 hours until every single one ended with the same dramatic pour and a caption yelling at me to save it. What got me was how the food always looked unreal but the actual steps were nonsense, like dumping a whole jar of sauce and calling it a secret family recipe, so I stopped watching and started reading the written steps instead. Is there a way to filter these out of my feed or do I just have to keep blocking them one at a time?
Three days is nothing, my cousin watched those things for a solid month and now she cooks the jar sauce thing on purpose. Those clips are short for a reason, you see the food and you want it, and the written steps exist for the people who actually want to cook it. Blocking one at a time is a small price for a feed that shows you cool stuff fast instead of a wall of text you skip past anyway. And be fair, the dramatic pour is the whole point, that's what makes it fun to watch. Save the ones that look good and read the steps later like you're already doing, that's the system working.
