Saw a guy in the Phoenix airport watch 40 straight minutes of a raccoon eating spaghetti, and something clicked
I was stuck at gate B12 in Phoenix last Thursday waiting on a delayed flight, and the guy next to me never once looked up from his phone. I glanced over out of boredom and it was just a raccoon eating spaghetti, one slow bite at a time, for 40 minutes straight. He had the volume on zero and his face was completely blank, like he was watching a fireplace. That was the moment I realized I have never once regretted missing one of these things, but I have regretted the 40 minutes I lost to them.
How do you sit through 40 minutes of a raccoon eating spaghetti and call that a win? The guy probably forgot the whole video the second he stood up, but those 40 minutes are gone forever. At least a fireplace keeps you warm, this just stole his afternoon.
