Unpopular opinion: those $50 'live laugh love' decor signs are a total waste of cash

I paid $50 for one of those wooden signs with a fake inspirational quote on it from a mall kiosk last month, hung it in my living room, and my cousin laughed at it for 10 minutes straight. Turns out the quote was misspelled and the paint was already peeling off after a week. Anyone else get burned by those trendy short video decor items that look way better on screen than in real life?

Mall kiosk decor is basically a trap at this point. I bought a "Live, Laugh, Lobster" sign (misspelled again, but on purpose) and the thing arrived looking like it was printed on construction paper and glued to a stick. The paint started chipping off within a week, and the font was this weird Comic Sans knockoff that made it look like a kid's art project gone wrong. It's crazy how filters and perfect lighting can make a cheap piece of particle board look like a million bucks on your phone screen. At least your cousin got a good laugh out of it, which is more entertainment than the sign ever gave you.

Bet they don't show that return policy anywhere near the filter settings.
