Blew $90 on a money belt in Rome and it saved my whole trip
Back in 2017 I bought a $90 money belt at an REI in Denver before my first trip to Rome, and I felt pretty silly wearing it under my shirt. Turns out a guy tried to pick my pocket at Termini station on day two and got nothing but fabric, while my buddy lost his phone and 40 euros from his front pocket. These days I just use a cheap $12 one from Amazon and it works the same, so I'm not sure the fancy version was ever worth it. Anyone else still swear by a money belt or have a better trick for crowded train stations?
