I finally found a $3 meal in Reykjavik that didn't taste like cardboard

I was wandering around the Bonus grocery store near Laugavegur and grabbed a loaf of rye bread, some butter, and a carton of skyr for under $3 total. Has anyone else found cheap grocery combos in Iceland that actually fill you up?

Thought the butter would last a week but I ate it all in two days just spreading it on the bread and pretending it was a fancy meal. Almost dropped the skyr carton on the bus floor because I was trying to open it with my teeth. Ended up using my shoe to crack the lid open. Pretty good for a dollar.

Wait, you used your shoe as a can opener on a bus floor? That's some next level survivalist stuff right there. I respect the hustle but also I'm kind of worried about what kind of bacteria you just invited to breakfast. Guess that's what you get for trying to save a dollar though, lol. Honestly if I saw someone doing that on my bus I'd probably just nod and move to the other end of the aisle.
