I was sure those 'secret' hotel booking sites were a scam, but booking through one for a trip to Savannah saved me $80 a night.

My wife insisted we try HotelTonight for a last-minute stay, and the room was identical to the one listed for $220 on the main brand site, but we paid $140, which convinced me to check those apps before every trip now. Anyone have other booking sites that have actually worked for you?

I always cross check with the hotel's own site now, sometimes they run the same deals. Got a suite in Austin once for the price of a regular room just by checking three different places.
