Just realized hostel booking sites hide the cheapest rooms on purpose

Was planning a trip to Prague next month and kept seeing hostels listed at $25-30 a night. Decided to check the hostel's own website directly for one place and found the same dorm bed for $12. Turns out I saved $60 total for 5 nights just by booking direct. The hostel even threw in free breakfast that wasn't offered on the booking site. Has anyone else noticed this with hostels in other cities too?

Man, 47 unread emails in my inbox right now and most of them are just noise. It's exhausting having to sift through all that to find the one actual thing that matters. Right there with you on this one.

My spam folder has MORE actual important stuff than my REAL inbox these days, pretty sure I'm doing this whole email thing wrong on purpose.
