My cheap hostel bunk collapsed in Prague last month
I was trying to save money and booked a bed for $12 a night. In the middle of the night, the whole wooden frame just gave out and I hit the floor. I had to sleep on a mattress on the floor for the rest of the stay. Has anyone else had a bunk bed fail on them, and what did you do about it?

Been there. Always check the frame before you climb in.

Solid advice from @lee18, but honestly, who actually remembers to do that every single time? You get in the zone, just want to get the job done, and then bam, you're halfway up a wobbly mess. Happens to the best of us. Feels like you need a checklist just to look at a ladder these days.
