Spent $88 on a "cheap" week in Nashville and half of it went to parking tickets
So I planned this whole budget trip to Nashville last month. Found a hostel for $32 a night, packed granola bars for breakfast, the whole thing. Day one was great, walked everywhere, ate at this meat and three spot for $11 and felt like a genius. Then day two I parked near Broadway because I was running late for a free show, and I came back to a $55 ticket on my windshield. Didn't even see the sign, it was behind a tree branch. Then the next night same deal, different lot, $33 ticket. By the end of the trip that "cheap" parking ate almost half my food budget. I ended up eating gas station sandwiches on the drive home. The worst part is I could have just taken the $6 bus the whole time but I got lazy. Has anyone else had a city's parking situation completely wreck their budget math? I need a system for this because clearly winging it is not working for me.
