Found $87 in old gift cards while cleaning my desk last Tuesday
I was sorting through a pile of junk mail and old receipts when I spotted a stack of those plastic cards. Checked the balances online and three of them still had money. One had $50 from a birthday two years ago. I used it to buy groceries this week, which basically covered my food budget. Has anyone else found cash they forgot about in a weird spot?

Nice, that's a solid find! I'm with @ray173, free money hits different. I once found a twenty in an old pair of jeans and felt rich for a whole afternoon, lmao.

That's such a good feeling, finding that $50 from a birthday you totally forgot about. I found a twenty in the pocket of a winter coat last spring and it felt like winning the lottery lol. Using it for groceries is the best way to spend it, makes the whole week easier.
