I cut my grocery bill by $60 a month by switching to a cash envelope for just that category.
I kept overspending at the store, so I started putting $120 in an envelope every other Friday and once it's gone, I'm done until the next pay period, which forces me to get creative with what's already in my pantry.

Lentils are actually great for long-term storage, so finding a forgotten bag isn't a bad thing. Karenbailey probably knows they last way longer than other pantry items. They're still good to cook with, just give them a look first.

I mean, it's nice to know I'm not the only one digging around in the back of the cupboards.
