Just figured out a simple way to cut my grocery bill by a lot
I mean, my food spending was getting crazy, like over $200 a week for just me. Idk, maybe it's just me but I started planning meals around what was on sale at my local Kroger. Last week, chicken was cheap, so I made a big batch of soup and froze half. I also stopped buying snacks at the gas station, which saved another $20 easy. It's only been a month, but I'm down to about $130 a week now. Has anyone else tried something like this and found a good app to track the sales?

Another thing that helped me was buying the store brand for stuff like spices and canned beans. The taste is the same and it's way cheaper than the name brand stuff.

Oh man, store brand spices. I bought a jar of store brand cinnamon once and now I can't tell if my oatmeal tastes like cinnamon or just vaguely warm dust. Same price difference though, so that's a win. Canned beans I'm with you on, but I draw the line at tomato sauce. That's where I get picky.

Honestly used to think meal planning was a waste of time, but building meals around sales is a game changer. The gas station snack habit is a killer too, cutting that out adds up fast.

Flipp is a solid app for checking flyers across stores. It just pulls the ads so you can compare prices without much fuss. That kind of visibility makes planning a lot easier.
