Just realized a $10 meal plan app saved me more than couponing ever did
I overheard a lady at my local library in Columbus bragging about how she saved $50 last month with coupons. Everyone around her was nodding like that was the only way to budget. But I've tried couponing for 3 years and it honestly stressed me out chasing deals for stuff I didn't need. Last month I paid $10 for a meal planning app called Mealime and it cut my grocery bill by $60 just by helping me buy exactly what I cook. No wasted produce, no buying three cans of beans because they were BOGO. I think the hype around extreme couponing skips over simpler tools that actually change your habits instead of just your receipts. Has anyone else had better luck with a different approach over what seems popular?
