Honestly, it hit me last month when I saw my receipt had three different kinds of fancy cheese. I was buying small, expensive items without a list and just tossing them in the cart. Has anyone else had a specific 'aha' moment like that with their food budget?

Honestly @miller.thomas, my grocery cart looks like a fancy olive bar exploded. Tbh I had to stop myself from buying a fifth jar last trip, the one with the fancy herbs. My fridge door is just olive jars at this point.
